Indications

Duramycin-100 Injection is a sterile, ready-to-use preparation containing 100mg per mL of Oxytetracycline hydrochloride. Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of susceptible bacteria. Duramycin-100 aids in the treatment of Pneumonia, Shipping Fever, Scours, Foot Rot, Diphtheria, Wooden Tongue, and wound infections. Organisms which show sensitivity to Oxytetracycline include Pasteurella spp.; E.coli; Spherophorus necrophorus; Actinobacillus lignieresi, caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcal and Staphylococcal organisms.

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride - 100 mg

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate - 5.76% w/v

Water for injectiion - 17.0% w/v

Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate - 1.3% w/v as preservative

Monoethanolamine to adjust pH

Propylene glycol - q.s.

Dosage and Administration

3-5 mg./lb. body weight/day for a maximum of 4 consecutive days. FOR INTRAVENOUS ADMINISTRATION ONLY.
